Voice of Reason Ethics Statement

Voice of Reason LLC develops Verification Intelligence for environments where accuracy, accountability, and institutional trust matter. Our role is to provide a neutral verification layer that organizes and presents records alongside applicable standards so organizations can understand what occurred and how it aligns with referenced requirements.

This Ethics Statement describes how we approach responsibility, boundaries, and stewardship in the design and operation of our Services.

1. Lawful and Responsible Use

Voice of Reason is intended to support lawful, safe, and responsible institutional operations.

We design our Services to operate within applicable legal, regulatory, and contractual frameworks. We do not support uses intended to evade the law, obscure misconduct, or undermine safety or fundamental rights.

VoR reserves the right to refuse, restrict, or discontinue service when use of the Services conflicts with these principles or presents unacceptable legal or ethical risk.

2. Neutrality and Explainability

Verification only serves its purpose when it is understandable to those who rely on it.

VoR structures outputs so users can see how records relate to referenced standards and where alignment or divergence may exist. We provide documentation describing scope, limitations, and coverage boundaries relevant to the Services.

VoR does not issue determinations, judgments, certifications, or conclusions. Interpretation and decision-making remain the responsibility of the user.

3. Privacy and Data Stewardship

Organizations entrust VoR with sensitive operational information. We treat that responsibility as a matter of stewardship.

We aim to collect and process only what is necessary to provide the Services. We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access or misuse.

VoR does not sell personal data or operational data. Data handling practices are governed by applicable privacy laws and our Privacy Policy.

4. System Integrity and Fair Treatment

Verification systems must operate consistently across contexts.

VoR monitors system behavior to identify errors, inconsistencies, or degradation that could materially affect reliability. We seek to avoid systemic distortions arising from incomplete data, inconsistent standards, or improper configuration.

Because Verification Intelligence operates on provided inputs and referenced materials, outcomes depend on data quality and scope. VoR does not claim completeness or universal applicability across all environments.

5. Human Oversight and Clear Boundaries

Verification Intelligence supports human judgment. It does not replace it.

VoR is designed so that responsibility for decisions, actions, and outcomes remains with human operators, supervisors, and organizations. Outputs are advisory and informational in nature and require human review and contextual understanding.

VoR does not automate enforcement, discipline, or adjudication.

6. Client and Partner Standards

Voice of Reason works with organizations that value accuracy, accountability, and responsible operations.

We may decline or discontinue relationships where use of the Services is intended to misrepresent facts, legitimize harmful conduct, or undermine basic safety or rights standards.

This discretion is essential to maintaining the integrity of a neutral verification function.

7. Ongoing Review and Governance

Operational environments evolve, and so do standards.

VoR periodically reviews its practices, documentation, and governance processes to ensure alignment with applicable laws, emerging risks, and institutional expectations. We may seek input from legal, technical, operational, or domain experts when appropriate.

Changes to the Services or their operation are documented through established channels.

8. Reporting Concerns

We encourage users and third parties to report concerns related to misuse, data handling, or integrity of the Services.

Concerns may be submitted confidentially to:
📧 ethics@vors.ai

Reports are reviewed in good faith and assessed based on available information and applicable obligations.

Closing Statement

Voice of Reason treats verification as institutional infrastructure. Our responsibility is to preserve neutrality, clarity, and integrity so organizations can operate with better information and stronger accountability.

This Ethics Statement reflects that responsibility and the boundaries necessary to uphold it.
